Job Description

- Operation of PC windows based computers and related equipment by answering and completing external and internal calls.
- Assist physicians, patients, staff and visitors with calling needs
- Performs a variety of overhead paging using multiple systems to locate staff, announcements, and emergencies
- Collect telephone repair information from internal callers, documents, and forwards to repair staff
- Performs pager repair and programming, trains users on paging systems
- Effectively copes with change; comfortably adjusts to alterations in work activities; able to decide and act with limited information; effectively handles risk and uncertainty in ambiguous situations.
- Prioritizes the customer experience and acts with customers in mind in all situations, dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; obtains first hand customer information and applies it to improvement products and services; establishes and maintains supportive relationships with customers.
- Shown ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
- Six or more months of customer service experience
- Post secondary education
- One or more years of customer service experience
- Previous work in medical field or with medical terminology
- Call center background
- Good computer navigation skills
- Effective communication skills
- Good history of work attendance

Specific examples of these calls are connecting with the on-call doctor, or transmitting many different types of critical codes used throughout our hospitals to identify emergency situations. Weekends and holiday rotation required
Current Schedule: 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm / Week One: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday / Week Two: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday
