What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Administer computer platforms and operating systems with medium to high scale and complexity
- Develop recommendations for security and backup/recovery specifications and procedures
- Coordinate the installation of new or revised platforms and systems
- Conduct short and mid-range planning and participate in project management activities
- Communicate technology concepts effectively to non-technical audiences

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data processing, or a related field, or an Associate’s degree with additional experience
- Minimum of three years related experience with a major operating system, or five years with an Associate’s degree, or seven years in a centralized IS department
- Basic proficiency with additional platforms/operating systems
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Call obligation as part of the job responsibilities

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certification on vendor hardware
- Experience with Windows Server, Linux, AIX, and Cisco UCS
- Familiarity with server hardware/management and load-balancing technologies
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi and Citrix XenServer
- Experience with scripting and automation, Active Directory, DNS, ADFS, and PKI
