Job Description

- Solid hands-on experience with Linux/Unix commands.
- Profile installation/Upgradation and Server Level configuration.
- Understand the IBM’s instruction and create the profile in a clustered environment.
- Ability to perform In-Place upgrade of WebSphere.
- Understanding of different IBM fix packs and install using Linux commands.
- Collaborating with engineering team and IBM team to troubleshoot software installation issues.
- Good experience in starting and stopping clustered environments using wsadmin commands; identify and manage stuck processes and resolving them using Unix commands.
- Application Configuration – Install/uninstall of the applications using wsadmin/console and understanding of WebSphere JEE resources such as Data sources, middleware/JMS related configuration.
- Collaborating with development teams to troubleshoot and fix server level issues like OOM, certificate problems, and hung processes etc.
- Experience with default WebSphere monitoring tools and adding WebSphere processes to AppDynamics, Dynatrace, etc.
- Understanding of Java EE and Rest concepts.
- CI/CD process and tools experience- GitHub, TeamCity/Jenkins, UDeploy etc.
- Knowledge in automation process and innovative to automate various infra level challenges like house keeping based on date, folder etc.
- Knowledge of JIRA Admin Experience.
- Install/uninstall of the applications using wsadmin/console.
- CI/CD process and tools.
- WebSphere monitoring using AppDynamics / Dynatrace.
- Monitoring WebSphere JEE resources usage such as Data sources, middleware/JMS related configuration.
- Jira Server to cloud Migration experience.
