What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design, implement, and document end-to-end solutions using various virtualization platforms such as VMware, Nutanix, OpenShift, and Azure AVS
- Configure and manage virtual and storage environments while overseeing the deployment and maintenance of virtualization technologies
- Monitor and test performance for potential bottlenecks and identify solutions to enhance system efficiency
- Share 24x7 on-call rotation duties with other team members and assess HA/DR configuration improvements
- Report on capacity management and usage to ensure optimal resource allocation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years managing VMware infrastructure, installing ESXi 8.0 servers, and configuring vCenter
- Strong experience with Nutanix, OpenShift, or other virtualization platforms
- Excellent time-management skills and a customer service-oriented attitude
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
- Clear and concise communication skills, with a relevant bachelor's degree or comparable work experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Git, GitLab/GitHub, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of operating systems including Linux (preferably RHEL7+), Windows, and Solaris
- Familiarity with design for scalability, performance, security, and reliability
- Experience working within a SAFe/Agile development framework
- VMware certification or other relevant certifications
