- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of microcomputer systems which enable the city to meet
data management needs. - Maintain and update documentation of computer procedures which could include technical support data
and disaster recovery information. - Conduct technical research and analysis of computer hardware specifications to identify and recommend
the best technical and cost-effective solution; and review software and hardware enhancements for
compatibility. - Assist in acquisition and installation of hardware and software to the required quality specifications; and
install workstations. - Identify and resolve hardware and/or software problems.
- Develop computer literacy among employees using informal and formal training sessions.
- Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements as demanded by those
duties described or less. - Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on then
current workloads and department needs. - Requires any combination of education (above the high school level) and/or experience equivalent to four (4) years in fields utilizing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities and associated with such positions as Systems Analyst, MIS Professional, Systems Engineer, or Microcomputer Specialist with at least two (2) years of concentrated work with microcomputer systems.

- Tier II/III Support
- Assist the Assist in the provision of set up, troubleshooting/repair and upgrading/refreshing of hardware and operating/application software on over 300 workstations, laptops, tablets and IPads (State and City).
- Visiting the end-user, responding to end-user phone, email or ticket requests for support to resolve basic computer, application, system, device, access or performance issues.
- Utilizing product information or solution database to research, troubleshoot, and deliver solutions.
- Maintaining and installing the standard image for DSS devices.
- Prepare training curriculum and materials and provide training to users of State and City computer systems.
- Assist with the responsibility for management of the facilities network backbone that includes CAT5/6 cabling, CISCO hubs and switches and Wi-Fi access points.
- Assist Systems Analyst in providing classroom and informal training for staff on use of computer hardware, operating systems and application software, complete staff systems checklist, staff orientation and equipment usage training.
- Assist with COV/CoC network switches and routing changes.
- Assist Systems Analyst in performing mandatory yearly audits of staff access to the various State applications; and assist with a least (3) State application audits as directed by the State.
- Assist in the responsibilities of the physical security of the DSS building (cameras, swipe card access and building security access codes), also monitors the DSS City Fleet Vehicles (24 cars) GPS system as needed.
- Assist with City and State account setup, changes, and password resets.
- Serve as backup to the Systems Analyst as the liaison to resolve data communication and telecommunication hardware and software problems.
- Assist with COV/CoC Network switches and routing changes.
- Performs administrative functions such as maintaining training and other records, monitoring materials and expenditures, compiling, and preparing routine or special reports or studies, and other related tasks.
- Analyzes client request for new or improved computer technology systems; researches current technologies in computer systems to recommend solutions to client problems or needs.
- Assist clients with problems with computer systems involving hardware or software difficulties.
- Installs new client computer systems and provides orientation or initial/follow on training for system users.
- Provides system and network administration; controls user success to systems; adds and deletes users and assigns passwords as required.
- Performs special projects or tasks involving specialized computer systems or requirements as assigned.
- Performs administrative functions such as maintaining inventory or other records, assisting with budgets, monitoring materials and expenditures, maintaining system documentation, conducting studies, preparing reports, and other related tasks.Job duties:
