What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a subject matter expert in Internal Medicine and related specialties, developing guidelines and policies
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to evaluate medication use and provide consultations on therapy
- Assist in system formulary management and address clinically complicated patient cases
- Coordinate education and training for pharmacists and healthcare professionals in the area of expertise
- Participate in system-wide committees and represent the pharmacy department
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy required
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Kentucky and Indiana within 6 months of hire
- BPS board certification in a relevant area of expertise or ability to achieve within 12 months
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related area of expertise or completion of a PGY-2 ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required or able to achieve within 12 months
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Completion of PGY-1 ASHP-accredited Pharmacy Residency and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related area
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite products and pharmacy-related applications (Omnicell, Epic)
