      We are looking for a TEMP Tax Support Analyst, you are required to be organized, able to respond to internal and external tax adjustment/inquiries in a timely manner to facilitate payroll processing and EP operations. You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to correspond with clients, co-workers and management. The Tax Analyst must have the ability to identify tax issues that require management’s review and input, but must also be able to carry out regular support and make decisions independently. You must become knowledgeable with all of tax departments systems and applications. Accept guidance and training from other tax team members. Accuracy, accountability and a balanced workflow are necessary to keep the company tax support in compliance with all government rules and regulations. Adapt quickly with changing priorities, taking on new challenges with a positive and calm attitude. The Tax Analyst must be available and willing to work overtime (OT) during tax busy periods including nights, weekends and company holidays.


      KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

      Gross up calculations

      Tax days’ calculations

      US and Foreign tax calculations

      Corporation incentive state calculations

      Review payroll edits for proper taxation

      Provide support and assistance to Finance Department

      Foreign tax withholding rules and regulations

      Canada and Quebec withholding tax rules, waivers and regulations

      Incentive state withholding rules and regulations

      Assist with any incentive catchup withholding

      Loan out setups in payroll system

      Review and approve tax adjustments

      Report any missing or incorrect reporting of taxes within the payroll system

      Assist in payroll tax incentive audits

      Run internal payroll reports

      Liaison to Deloitte Quarterly and Annual audit

      W-9 Request

      Certification Letters

      Reimbursement Letters

      New Vendor Request forms

      City locality assistance

      Prize winner; setup and review

      Yearend Mock testing

      Related Yearend processes as they arise

      Maintain Pre Tax deductions for Section 125 programs and update excel spreadsheets

      Scanning and Misc. office projects

      Provide guidance to other team members

      Mail Drop off when necessary to meet tax deadlines

      Special projects and research items requested by management


      JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

      4 year college degree or equivalent experience

      Client service experience

      4 years of experience in accounting, payroll or payroll systems

      Prefer FPC or CPP (APA Certified Payroll Professional)

      Knowledge of basic accounting and payroll taxes

      Proficient in Database Access, Excel and Word

      Must have an understanding of tax return preparation

      Excellent communication and people skills

      Must be able to work independently, take initiative and motivation to drive results

      Must be able to apply, develop, and implement towards best practices

      Excellent organization, communication and negotiation skills

      Must be able to analyze and interpret legislation and regulations

      Must work well under pressure and maintain composure during deadlines

      Microsoft word and excel proficiency and 10 key skilled
