Job Description

- Working knowledge of fundamental operations of relevant software, hardware and other equipment
- Ability to work with ticketing systems to document all support calls
- Familiar with Microsoft Operating Systems and Office Suites
- Flexibility with schedule as this position does require shift work
- Associates degree with an emphasis of computer information systems
- Perform ticket based solutions for an in-house service desk
- Respond to requests for technical assistance via telephone or remote connectivity software
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues
- Advise user on appropriate action – escalates to appropriate resources
- Logs all helpdesk activities through our ticketing system
- Associate degree in computer science or 1-year related field.
- A+, Linux+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate accreditation is advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving skills.
Troon is seeking a System Technician to join our family in our Reston office. The Systems Technician is the first response to any and all company related IT support needs that encompass a wide range of IT hardware and software solutions. Our Tier 1 Helpdesk staff captures general information regarding the concern, need or issue and either resolves the concern or advises and escalates the ticket as deemed necessary.
Compensation: $47,000-$54,000. In-office position.
