      Job Description

      Apollo Autonomous Driving USA LLC (a subsidiary of Baidu) is looking for a System Test Engineer (Contractor) to work closely with our development teams, ensuring that autonomous driving systems meet design specifications and performance requirements. The team's charter is to develop and validate state-of-the-art sensor systems (LiDAR, Radar, Camera, and integrated platforms) for autonomous vehicles.

      In this role, you will be responsible for testing LiDAR, Radar, and integrated autonomous driving systems. You will develop test plans, execute tests, document results, and report defects to ensure system reliability and functionality. The ideal candidate will have experience in sensor testing, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


      What You'll Do:


      Test Planning and Design

      • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on system requirements and design specifications.
      • Identify test scenarios and create detailed test.
      • Define test objectives, scope, and success criteria.

      Test Execution

      • Execute manual and automated tests to validate sensor functionality, performance, and reliability.
      • Perform stress, load, and scalability testing to evaluate sensor/system performance under various conditions.

      Documentation

      • Document test results, including pass/fail status, defects, and performance metrics.
      • Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and traceability matrices.

      Collaboration

      • Work closely with development teams, product managers, and cross-functional teams to align on testing goals and deliverables.

      Continuous Improvement

      • Identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, tools, and methodologies.


      What We Look For:

      • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
      • 1+ years of experience in system testing or a related role
      • Experience with sensor testing
      • Experience with the basic concepts of LiDAR/Radars, etc.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
      • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
      • Effective communication and collaboration skills
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
      • Time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines


      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience with automated testing tools (Python, MATLAB, or similar).
      • Familiarity with ADAS or autonomous driving systems.
      • Knowledge of test automation frameworks and scripting.
      • Experience working in automotive or robotics testing environments.

      Hourly rate range: $40-$46, negotiable
