- Req#: 112371BR
- Coordinate with Cyber Defense Analysts to manage and administer the updating of rules and signatures for specialized cyber defense applications.
- Perform system administration on specialized cyber defense applications and systems and Virtual Private Network (VPN) devices, to include installation, configuration, maintenance, backup, and restoration.
- Assist in identifying, prioritizing, and coordinating the protection of critical cyber defense infrastructure and key resources.
- Build, install, configure, and test dedicated cyber defense hardware.
- Assist in assessing the impact of implementing and sustaining a dedicated cyber defense infrastructure.
- Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF)/Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) requirements for dedicated cyber defense systems within the enterprise, and document and maintain records for them.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience recommended. In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level.
- Provides technical/management leadership on major tasks or technology assignments.
- Establishes goals and plans that meet project objectives.
- Has domain and expert technical knowledge.
- Performs the following kinds of functions: Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project’s inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs; Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff; Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues; Consults with client to define need or problem supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
- Decision making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall project implementation.
- May supervise others.
- Experience with Linux-based environment administration.
- Experience with testing, implementing, deploying, maintaining, and administering infrastructure hardware and software for cybersecurity.
- Experience developing, creating, modifying, and maintaining computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs for cybersecurity.
- Experience integrating third-party components, the introduction of new custom capabilities, modification of existing code, process improvement recommendation, and automation of operations and maintenance tasks.
- Experience with Splunk, Oracle/SQL based platforms, and Python
- RedHat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA)
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Associate
