Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure and Hosting Services and receiving day-to-day direction from the Hosting Services Senior Technical Analyst, Hosting Services Team Lead and Senior Systems Administrator - Hosting Services, the Systems Administrator- Hosting Services works to primarily provide operational and technical delivery of Hosting Services for Island Health.
The Systems Administrator provides support to the Hosting Services Team and Application Support Teams with day-to-day operational and technical delivery and support of Hosting Services infrastructure and application delivery services, including Citrix, Password Manager (SSO), NetScaler/Access Gateway, Microsoft Server operating systems, Microsoft RDS Services, Control Up, as well as all clinical and business applications hosted within the Citrix environment.
The Systems Administrator provides analysis, development, implementation, monitoring and maintenance of the operating systems as well as related layered product software and hardware. This effort includes responding to Service Desk incidents as well as strict adherence to Island Health s ITIL-based Change Management policy and processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
Graduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in Computer Science, three (3) years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
