      Overview

      Reporting directly to the Regional Technical Resource Manager, the MITS Engineer will be responsible for supporting multiple small to mid-sized clients with their project labor and managed network service needs across multiple markets. The MITS Engineer will have direct interaction with clients on a day-to-day basis performing managed service tasks and engineer project-based work.

      Responsibilities

        • Install, configure, and troubleshoot complex workstation and IT infrastructure installations.
        • Onboard/offboard servers and workstations for managed IT service offerings.
        • Work with sales professionals and MNS Specialists to draft complex project Statement of Work (SoW), update the SoW based on customer feedback and execute the projects.
        • Work with 3rd party vendors to provide a complete solution, troubleshoot complex vendor-specific problems, or to coordinate migrations.
        • Obtain and maintain IT certifications required by company.
        • Good organization, time management and prioritization skills.
        • Create and maintain client documentation to ensure efficiency and consistency.
        • Interact with clients, internal staff, consultants, and vendors.
        • Enter time sheets daily for all work performed.
        • Participate as team member on larger projects.
        • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

      Qualifications

      • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field a plus.
      • Minimum 3 year of hands-on technical experience managing/supporting multi-server Microsoft environments.
      • Hands-on virtualization (Hyper-V and/or VMWare) experience preferred.
      • Strong experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting network firewalls and switches preferred.
      • Must be a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or be willing to acquire certification as part of the employment agreement.
      • Must be certified in Network technologies through a major vendor or be willing to acquire certification as part of the employment agreement.
      • Must be certified in a Cyber Security architecture through a major security organization or be willing to acquire certification as part of the employment agreement.
      • Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure and Office 365 technologies preferred.
      • Managed Service Provider and/or Managed Security Service Provider experience a plus.
      • Network-based Storage Technology (SAN) experience a plus.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, detailed oriented, ability to track and thoroughly communicate on multiple ongoing projects for multiple clients.
      • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as participate as part of a group managing other resources on larger projects.
      • Must be able to work with multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
      • Candidate must be comfortable actively communicating with all levels within an organization. 60% In-office/remote work / 35% local day travel / 5% overnight travel.
      • Valid driver’s license.
      • Must be able to provide own reliable transportation.

      Compensation for this position

      The compensation range for this role is $50,175- $84,000 The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
