      Overview Focus will be on cloud services, including Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and other Saas and PaaS systems. Salary range for this position is $65,957-$77,605. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. POSITION SUMMARY: The Systems Administrators Level I configures implementations of core technology and Windows/Unix server systems plus core storage systems. They analyze, test, troubleshoot and maintain all technology solutions within the OSF Production environment. They also provide documentation to support system design, implementation, maintenance, testing and training and insure the stability, availability and reliability of the Systems and storage implemented into the production environment. Specific deliverables include daily ticket/work request handling and event management to support overall availability/performance. Project deliverables include system specifications, implementation plans and ongoing performance management and capacity planning for the existing devices within the Technology Environment. The Systems Administrator will also perform configuration changes related to application integration, system administration, problem management, preventive maintenance and performance tuning, all within best practice standards. Available to respond to emergency situations outside of normal business hours. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITY: Implements, improves and optimizes existing services (integrated and scalable, end-to-end systems and platforms) given detailed specification information with minimal guidance. Participates in process improvements within the team and the larger organization as a whole. Supports multiple, complex systems. Manages supportability and troubleshooting on the availability of applications, systems, servers, storage and network with minimal guidance. Participates in the implementation of new technology and application releases into pre-production. Defines metrics and analyzes system performance when troubleshooting is necessary. Maintains up-to date standards, best practices, procedures and policies across the technology environment within a timely manner. Considerable knowledge of most major hardware platforms. Has technical knowledge of data center issues, including physical infrastructure, as well as some experience participating in data center upgrades and data migrations. Engages with technical resources across the OSF Technology Division for hand-off and knowledge transfer of process and procedures for systems administration and support of core technologies and storage systems. Serves as technical support during deployment/upgrade activities. Provides technical input into project work plans including the definition of key activities and tasks, allocation of resource time and execution of activities in a timely manner. Works closely with a team of technical resources (typically crossing disciplines) to provide considerable technical support for technology projects and activities. Ability to assist in projects from requirements gathering, scoping, obtaining buy-in from other departments, planning, and implementing the technology and/or system solution. Adheres to production acceptance criteria, as well as being the 2nd level support for the OSF core systems environment. Maintains and tests plans for disaster recovery, mitigation, contingency, and security as needed. Assists with efforts to document and investigate escalated incidents or incidents across multiple service dependencies, resolve them by using innovative engineering practices, and document those innovations into engineer standards while monitoring the overall quality of incident management. Investigates problems in their area of expertise by using standard and custom problem management tools and processes, and develops plans and recommendations for improvements. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School/GED Experience: 1 year of experience installing, supporting, and troubleshooting applications, systems, and servers that provide enterprise technologies such as Microsoft (Server, Exchange, Windows, SQL, AD, SCCM) and Citrix. Other skills/knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associates Degree License/Certifications: Certification in their area of discipline, such as Microsoft (MCSE, MCDBA, MCTS, or similar) Experience: Experience with other technologies common to HealthCare System environment. Other requirements/information: Feedback/Metrics collection techniques. Troubleshooting skills Available to respond to emergency situations outside of normal business hours.
