      The Systems & Access Librarian is responsible for the management and support of all library systems, including Alma/Primo, OpenAthens, and ILLiad. This role also supports patron access to library resources through electronic resource life-cycle management and troubleshooting, coordination of interlibrary loan and circulation functions, and cataloging.

      Education/Experience:

      • MLS, MIS, or MLIS degree or equivalent from an ALA-accredited program
      • Minimum of 2 years systems and access experience in an academic library, including experience with:
        • System administration and support of Alma, Primo VE, ILLiad, and OpenAthens
        • Electronic resource management, including monitoring, maintenance, updating, and troubleshooting
        • Compiling and analyzing resource and service usage statistics
        • Interlibrary lending within a library consortium
        • Copy and original cataloging

      Essential Duties & Responsibilities

      • Manage the lifecycle and maintenance of all electronic and print resources from acquisition onwards, including cataloging, activation, resolving access issues, licensing and vendor relations, and usage reporting
      • Serve as system administrator for Adler’s integrated library system, AlmaPrimo, including updates and maintenance, troubleshooting function and access issues, managing user access, and generating reports
      • Support interlibrary lending in ILLiad and I-Share (consortium print lending program) through training student workers, addressing system errors and maintenance needs, serving as ILLiad system administrator, and participation in ILLiad request processing.
      • Ensure access to all library resources by managing the library’s OpenAthens authentication service, maintaining library search functions, and coordinating stack maintenance.
      • Serve as the library’s liaison to CARLI for all electronic resource and systems issues and products
      • Collaborate with IT on library system implementation and integration
      • Other projects and duties as assigned
