      The customer team comprises Sales, Project Management, System Engineering and System Technologist personnel working together in a high-performance culture, often with demanding cycle times and high customer expectations because we are working on mission-critical communication systems.


      Job Description

      Overview:

      • Develops, designs, evaluates, and/or modifies systems consistent with customer and regulatory requirements.
      • Develops system architecture, and ensures the integrity of the architecture/design.
      • Systems Engineers handle the software configuration to make sure everything works given the various customer configurations.

      Responsibilities:

      • The successful candidate will be able to perform the Engineer of Record role on mid sized projects autonomously.
      • Public safety radio network projects are multi-faceted, requiring a wide range of technical skillsets including, but not limited to, coverage and capacity design, microwave system analysis, RF LMR system and BDA design, WAN network design, and knowledge of Motorola ASTRO systems.
      • The position involves a high level of customer and consultant interaction involving customer design reviews, customer witnessed staging and acceptance testing events, coverage acceptance testing, live system upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts.
      • The position requires a high level of commitment and accountability to project and customer demands as well as ownership of technical solutions, problem solving and project timelines.
      • The successful candidate will work closely with Project Management teams, Engineering teams and the customer to ensure successful project execution.

      Basic Requirements

      • Bachelor's Degree + 5 years of engineering experience
      • OR 8+ years of engineering experience
      • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
