Job Title: Systems Engineer- Aerospace

Responsibilities

• Perform design, analysis, and test activities to achieve project objectives.
• Document analysis, designs, and tests using standard templates (e.g., architecture diagrams, UML diagrams, tech notes, design documents, test plans, and test reports).
• Write and execute formal test cases to collect formal test results.
• Prepare written test reports for submission to the end customer.
• Investigate system problem reports and field incident reports; conduct root cause and trend analyses.
• Provide technical support during higher-level integration and qualification testing.
• Provide technical inputs to, and review technical outputs from, the aircraft modification subcontractor.
• Interface with support departments such as Supply Chain and Component Engineering.
• Identify opportunities to improve products and services, and drive those changes.

Essential Skills

• Systems engineering and integration experience in the aerospace defense sector.
• Requirements gathering and analysis, requirements definition, and systems integration.
• Full-cycle systems engineering.
• Experience with DOORS or similar requirements management tools.
• Experience in flight management systems, electro-optical systems, weapon management systems OR electronic support measures.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role requiring 2-3 days per week on-site in Ottawa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
