  Systems Engineer
  Remote Role
  Client is seeking a QA Engineer III for a Temp assignment starting immediately. This remote role focuses on manual testing of our Frictionless app (front-end user experience for credit card applications) with some automation testing. The QA Engineer III ensures product quality through comprehensive testing, defect tracking, and collaboration with project teams and external client partners.
  Responsibilities
  • Utilize analytical skills, test plans, and test scripts based on business and functional requirements.

  • Create first events validation plans including production validation, backout mitigation, and post-install support.

  • Execute manual test scripts, validate front-end/UI behavior, and report defects using JIRA.

  • Develop and run SQL queries to identify test accounts and verify application behavior.

  • Collaborate with development teams and vendors to resolve defects, retest, and provide progress updates.

  • Conduct first events validation and provide knowledge transfer to production support.

  • Maintain project documentation, track defect metrics, and report testing progress.

  • Apply knowledge of credit card operations, banking, loyalty rewards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Act as liaison to developers, vendors, and other business areas to ensure project requirements are satisfied.

  • Support new client onboarding and enhancement of existing client capabilities.
  Requirements
  Must-Have:
  • 8+ years of functional testing experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance domains.

  • Manual test execution for front-end/UI applications.

  • Experience with Cypress, Jira, qTest, basic QMF/SUL.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  Nice-to-Have:
  • QA test automation experience (Cypress, Selenium).
  Skills & Knowledge:
  • Agile methodology, API testing, SDLC, STLC, ATDD.

  • Database testing, SQL/DB2, test case design, test data management.

  • Familiarity with credit card operations, banking, financial services, loyalty programs, and regulatory standards.
  Education & Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s in Computer Science/IT preferred.

  • ISTQB, CSTP, or CAT certifications preferred.

  • 10+ years of domain experience preferred.
  Background Check Requirements:
