- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of eight (8) years of directly relevant systems engineering experience is required.
- Experience: 5 years
- Required Skills/Certs:
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise IT systems. · Experience with VMware virtualization, Citrix VDI, Windows Server, and RedHat environments.
- Proven ability to perform system diagnostics, patching, updates, and backup and recovery operations in secure or classified environments.
- Experience supporting end-user environments, secure data centers, and compliance with federal IT policies
- Strong knowledge of system integration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in Windows and Linux environments.
- Familiarity with ITSM systems such as ServiceNow and configuration/change management procedures.
- Experience supporting secure environments including PKI, certificate management, and smart card systems.
- Ability to write and maintain detailed system documentation, SOPs, and change control reports.
- Required Clearance:
- Active Top Secret clearance required. Selected candidates will be required to obtain TS/SCI.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), VMware VCP, or similar preferred.

Description of Task to be Performed:
Come join our growing team and make a difference every day! AnaVation is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with experience implementing, managing, and supporting classified IT systems, including virtualization platforms, VDI (Citrix), Windows/RedHat OS, and backup/storage technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage system operations and perform system maintenance and upgrades
· Respond to incidents
· Maintain compliance with government cybersecurity standards.
· Support configuration changes
· Maintain system documentation
This position is full-time onsite in Washington, DC and cannot be supported remotely.
