  Description of Task to be Performed:

  Come join our growing team and make a difference every day! AnaVation is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with experience implementing, managing, and supporting classified IT systems, including virtualization platforms, VDI (Citrix), Windows/RedHat OS, and backup/storage technologies.

  
  

  Key responsibilities include:

  - Manage system operations and perform system maintenance and upgrades

  · Respond to incidents

  · Maintain compliance with government cybersecurity standards.

  · Support configuration changes

  · Maintain system documentation

  
  

  This position is full-time onsite in Washington, DC and cannot be supported remotely.

  Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field preferred. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of eight (8) years of directly relevant systems engineering experience is required.

  • Experience: 5 years
  • Required Skills/Certs:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise IT systems. · Experience with VMware virtualization, Citrix VDI, Windows Server, and RedHat environments.
  • Proven ability to perform system diagnostics, patching, updates, and backup and recovery operations in secure or classified environments.
  • Experience supporting end-user environments, secure data centers, and compliance with federal IT policies
  • Strong knowledge of system integration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with ITSM systems such as ServiceNow and configuration/change management procedures.
  • Experience supporting secure environments including PKI, certificate management, and smart card systems.
  • Ability to write and maintain detailed system documentation, SOPs, and change control reports.

  • Required Clearance:
  • Active Top Secret clearance required. Selected candidates will be required to obtain TS/SCI.

  
  

  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), VMware VCP, or similar preferred.
