- Contribute to the command line and web-based interface that the end-user interacts with, for configuring, managing and monitoring the disk array system.
- Implementing high quality code for embedded applications with the aid of test-driven development.
- Triage issues during continuous integration & deployment process.
- Work closely with the test organization to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with team members across the globe.
- Motivated software developer with a desire to master the craft of software engineering
- Comfortable debugging embedded software.
- Strong verbal & written communication.
- Collaborate on software design decisions with fellow team members.
- Continuously seek to learn new technologies & software frameworks.
- Proficient in JavaScript, Object oriented programming & API development.
- Delivering software solutions in Linux environments.
- Experience working with Agile development methodologies & collaboration tools.
- Experience in at least one scripting level language like Python, Perl, etc
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related degree with 0-2 years' experience
- Version control in a team environment like Git

About the role - you will:
Join a team of software developers in the Emerging Products & Solutions group that focuses on providing an enterprise class end user experience to our Seagate Systems products. In this role you’ll have an opportunity to develop application software running on an embedded platform. This includes interacting with services through the operating system all the way to the user interface and everything in-between. The estimated base salary range for this position is $63,835.00 - $106,690.00. The individual salary is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
