      About this role:

      The Consumer Technology Platform Management team, part of Wells Fargo Enterprise Information Technology, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Systems Operations Engineer to join our global technology team. You'll provide platform support for critical applications and infrastructure used throughout the Wells Fargo retail branch network. Additionally, you'll provide system support for technical issues & initiatives related to large-scale applications, systems, databases and/or other technical products and services.


      In this role, you will:

      • Participate in complex technical issues and initiatives related to large scale applications, systems, databases, or other technical products and services
      • Identify opportunity for process improvements within technical support strategies and plans
      • Review and analyze technical queries to extract data, create standard databases, or perform limited programming to fine tune systems supporting low to medium risk technical deliverables
      • Present recommendations for resolving complex technical queries
      • Exercise some independent judgment to analyze performance trends and recommend process improvements while developing understanding of technical process controls or standards
      • Work as an internal consultant regarding use of tools and processes
      • Provide information related to supported system area to functional colleagues, internal partners and stakeholders, including internal customers


      In this role, you'll also act as:

      • Incident Management for complex technology issues impacting production
      • Change Management and implementation of changes to production
      • Support for our Application Development team members
      • Execute on; and enhance our monitoring & observability strategy
      • Automation of tasks to reduce toil and risk of human error
      • Migration and support of Applications in the Azure public cloud

      Required Qualifications:

      • 4+ years of hands on Windows Systems Engineering experience

      • 4+ years of hands on Windows Server Production Support/Administration experience

      • 2+ years of experience with one or more Application monitoring/observability tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Elastic/Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana

      • 2+ years of experience with one or more scripting / automation tools such as Python, bash, shell, PowerShell, Ansible, uDeploy, Terraform

      • 1+ years of Cloud Technology Experience such as Microsoft Azure

      Desired Qualifications:

      • Hands on experience with Linux/Unix (inc: Tomcat/Apache) support or systems administration experience

      • Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles

      • Experience resolving and working through escalated and complex issues

      • Microsoft Azure AZ900 Certified

      • Root Cause Analysis experience

      • Agile/Scrum/Jira/Kanban/ServiceNow/Confluence

      • Ability to Drive / Lead efforts with appropriate sense of urgency

      • Strong desire to learn new technologies

      • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

      • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills

      • Ability to operate effectively in a geographically dispersed organization

      • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
