Providing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware
Work closely with GDIT employees to ensure IT tickets are responded to and resolved in a timely manner
Screens, refers, and diagnoses internal inquiries and work requests as they relate to maintenance of personal computers and related systems
Provides troubleshooting and support, Installs, configures, and upgrades computer hardware and software
Participates in special projects as required, coordinates development of deliverables and products
Provides onsite support for other technical and organizational groups including hands/eyes-on assistance for remote teams
Willing to offer technical support and training to end-users
Possess the aptitude to expand current knowledge of relevant technology
Maintain systems for conference rooms and associated AV components
Maintain records/logs of repairs and fixes and maintenance schedule
Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders
5+ years of directly related experience supporting end-user computing OR an AA/AS and 3+ years of related experience.
At least one (1) or more of the following Technical Certifications:
- Current DoD 8140 Certification/ CompTIA A+/CompTIA Network+/ CompTIA Security+ CE Systems
- Amazon Web Services “Cloud Practitioner” OR Microsoft “Azure Administrator”
- Cisco “CCNA” OR Juniper “JNCIA”
Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI Clearance w/Polygraph (US Citizenship required)
Operational knowledge of the following: Active Directory, Group Policy, SharePoint, and Microsoft System Center products
Experience with Windows and Mac desktops, laptops, mobile devices (iOS, Android), and application support
Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
Solid understanding of basic networking principles
Experience with electronic ticketing systems, attention to detail, and direct customer service
Installation and response efforts for the position requires lifting equipment that weighs 20-30 pounds, walking and standing, pushing, and pulling; working around, under, and over desks, as well as professional personal interactions with customers.
