What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting staff while supporting the Director of Finance
- Prepare and monitor hotel revenues daily and assist in the timely preparation of monthly financial statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations while monitoring hotel operations and cash flow
- Supervise accounting department staff and assist in hiring, training, and development
- Analyze financial data and collaborate with Department Heads to achieve the hotel’s financial objectives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- At least 6 years of related progressive experience in hotel accounting or a related field; or a 4-year college degree with an Accounting/Finance concentration and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or a 2-year college degree and a minimum of 4 years of related experience
- Experience as Assistant Director of Finance at a larger hotel with a decentralized accounting structure
- Must be able to work remotely and travel up to 90% of the time
- Experience in supervising three or more employees
- Proficient in Oracle and IBM TM1 software
