What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting staff while supporting the on-site Director of Finance
- Prepare and monitor hotel revenues daily, ensuring accurate recording and identifying variances
- Supervise the accounting department staff and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
- Analyze financial data and assist the Director of Finance in maintaining the hotel’s financial objectives
- Conduct and contribute to meetings to promote team morale and operational efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications):
- At least 6 years of progressive experience in hotel accounting or related field; or a 4-year college degree in Accounting/Finance with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Experience as Assistant Director of Finance in a larger hotel with a decentralized accounting structure
- Ability to travel up to 90% and work long hours as needed
- Experience supervising three or more employees
- Proficiency in Oracle and IBM TM1 software
