What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze tax forms and related laws to ensure our software remains current
- Design the client interface, including input/output screens, for tax products
- Implement changes to existing tax software products
- Write and communicate design specifications for software engineers
- Provide phone support to customers as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Two or more years of recent income tax experience or significant experience providing technical support to end users of tax software
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA)
- Two or more years of individual tax preparation experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with electronic filing of tax returns
- Knowledge of state, city, and local income tax preparation
