      JOB SUMMARY:

      This is a Tax Audit Supervisor - SES position in the General Tax Administration Program, Compliance Audit Process. The incumbent manages tax auditors who primarily conduct sales and use tax audits and reemployment tax audits. The incumbent also confers with and assists auditors with tax issues, reviews case files for accuracy, conducts meetings with taxpayers, and maintains control of case files assigned to the team to ensure timely audit completion. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for general administrative and personnel duties including verifying and approving timesheets, leave requests, travel vouchers, and the preparation and completion of performance plans.

      MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

      • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
      • Four years of audit experience within the Department Revenue’s Compliance Audit Program.
      • Two years of experience as an on-the-job trainer or presenting training materials.

      SUBSTITUTIONS:

      • A CPA certificate can substitute for one year of the required audit experience.

      SPECIAL NOTES:

      • This position requires use of your personal vehicle to conduct work assignments.
      • This position may require travel which may include multiple overnight stays.

      SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $5,871.03 monthly/$70,452.36 annually.
