What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform intermediate to advanced accounting functions related to tax specifications under limited supervision
- Lead and supervise lower-level associates by assigning work and providing guidance
- Manage engagement project management and ensure quality control standards are met
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through timely communication and issue resolution
- Prepare tax accrual workpapers and utilize tax software applications for tax return completion
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, and/or tax accounting
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent coursework
- CPA preferred or actively sitting for the CPA exam
- Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Experience with Microsoft Office Tools and tax compliance software
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 3+ years of experience in public accounting or tax accounting
- Prior supervisory experience and experience in preparing and reviewing tax provisions
- Familiarity with corporate taxation, consolidations, and partnerships
- Experience with tax research databases such as BNA and RIA
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
