- Four years of related experience, education/training, or a Bachelor's degree in a related area.
- Eligibility for clearance to work inside prisons and CDCR facilities.
- Ability to perform intake evaluations, assess, problem-solve, and work collaboratively with diverse clients.
- Proficiency in computer systems, organization, and communication skills.
- Experience in case management and maintaining confidentiality.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
- Knowledge of laws related to health and social welfare, and experience with social security and veterans' benefits.
- Experience working with incarcerated populations, including psychosocial assessments and benefit planning.
- Training in motivational interviewing and understanding of co-occurring disorders.
- Criminal background check required.
- Willingness to work in security settings and travel across facilities.
- Annual TB screening and other health requirements.

Description
The UCSD Department of Psychiatry offers innovative educational programs, research, and clinical services. The department provides TCMP services for eligible incarcerated persons under CDCR and the State Department of Mental Health.
The incumbent will work full-time at various CDCR correctional facilities across California, managing caseloads of incarcerated persons eligible for benefits such as Medi-Cal, Social Security, and Veterans Affairs, and assisting with benefit applications and case management.
