Job Description

- 7 Kindergarten Teachers
- 5 First Grade Teachers
- 4 Second grade Teachers
- 4 Third grade Teachers
- Hold a current Reading Specialist certificate or Oklahoma Teaching Certificate.
- Completed LETRS or IMSE Orton-Gillingham training preferred; required for 1st - 3rd grade teachers.
- Satisfy all district requirements regarding physical health and citizenship.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
- Plan a program of study that meets the individual reading needs of the students.
- Provide individual and/or small group instruction using specific intervention materials.
- Monitor progress and maintain tracking documents to show growth.
- Administer iStation Reading or Literacy First Assessment at end of the program.

Reports to: Elementary Summer Literacy Academy Principals, Director of Student Learning and Literacy

Qualifications:
Position Goals: To provide intensive remediation in reading to Kindergarten through Third grade students.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Terms of Employment: Jenks Public Schools Temporary Assignment Contract - June 2 - June 26, 2025; Monday-Thursday, 8:30am -12:30pm. **Dates subject to change pending Board approval of last day of school.
Compensation: Stipend - $1,800.00
*A required Summer Program in-service trainings will be conducted for staff prior to the program starting date; Dates and times TBD.About the company
