- Completion of a bachelor's degree AND additional requirements (coursework and/or praxis) necessary to obtain a teaching license. Preference given to those who have completed an approved teacher prep program and possess or are eligible for a teaching license issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Associate (Unlicensed) Teachers are considered based on division needs.
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting (does not apply to current HCS employees).
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and human relations skills.
- Have knowledge of content, curriculum, methods, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to plan and implement lessons based on division and school objectives and the needs and abilities of children.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, and parents.
- Currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer as ?all instructional opportunities are in-person, located in Hampton, VA.
- Associate(Unlicensed) Teachers with bachelors: $45,000; Associate (Unlicensed) Teachers are considered based on division needs.
- Licensed/Licensed eligible teachers: Teacher scale -- commensurate with experience; starting salary 25/26 SY $56,750 & $59,350 for masters; 26/27 SY TBD; Possible sign-on bonus for Title I Schools.

We are offering virtual interviews for qualified candidates. Registration will be open through November 13, 2025.
