      2.0 FTE – COLUMBIA HIGH SCHOOL

      THE POSITION

      The goal of this position is to teach the biology curriculum and inspire a diverse student body with a love of STEM learning. Collaborative team member to support experienced or novice teacher of Biology.

      QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

      1.NJ Teacher of Biology certificate. Experience and passion for teaching diverse students are preferred.
      2.Teaching experience with knowledge of biology at academic and honors levels or AP level is preferred.
      3.Ability to work on a collaborative, passionate team a must.
      4.Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging physics lessons that cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
      5.Develop and implement curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with NJ Science standards.
      6.Create a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to academic and personal growth.
      7.A criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident/immigrant status are required.

      To provide instructional leadership in the classroom in accordance with the course of study approved by the Board of Education approved curriculum.
