      Duties


      • Plans, develops, and organizes long-range lesson plans and daily class work to ensure in-depth learning within the timeframe allotted to meet the course/curriculum content standards.
      • Using teaching principles and best practices and standards-based instruction, the Teacher instructs assigned subject(s) and grade level(s) in a classroom or lab setting.
      • Selects, adapts, or modifies teaching methods or materials that experience indicates will be most effective in teaching the assigned grade level(s) and subject matter
      • Supports, counsels, and motivates students to meet or exceed grade-level standards
      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      Requirements


      • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
      • Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
      • Direct deposit of pay is required.
      • Two year trial or probationary period may be required.
      • Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
      • This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.
      • You will be required to sign a mobility agreement, be available for worldwide placement, and be willing to rotate to any DoDDS or DDESS location.

      The preferred applicant will need to meet the below qualifications in order to be referred to the hiring manager for consideration:

      0355 Teacher (Physical Education) -- Teaching Category Requirement:

      A major in physical education or a minimum of 30 semester hours in physical education is required. Course work must include a minimum of 12 semester hours in upper level physical education courses.
