What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide classroom instruction in the German language
- Develop lesson plans and educational materials
- Grade homework, writing assignments, quizzes, and exams
- Administer and grade oral exams
- Hold office hours for student support and attend weekly coordination meetings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Native or near-native speaker or advanced proficiency in German
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both German and English
- Current graduate student at the employer
- Commitment to quality teaching and organization
- Ability to work collaboratively with other instructors
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Teaching experience in a language setting
- Familiarity with Canvas and PowerPoint platforms
- Enthusiasm for engaging students in language and culture
