- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in social work, nursing, occupational therapy, or another relevant field
- Current membership of a relevant professional body
- Experience in managing/leading clinical teams
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with clients that are affected by a range of social, physical, and psychological issues, preferably with students or young people
- Demonstrable understanding and experience of case management and its application to support services
- Experience working with young people and providing support services
- Knowledge or awareness of the issues affecting students and young people
- Cultural competence in working with the diversity of the student population
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Relationship building and interpersonal skills
- Ability to problem solve under pressure
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to deal with sensitive matters
- Five weeks’ annual leave per annum
- Up to 6.75% employer superannuation contribution.

Job Description
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We're in search of an experienced leader with a background in mental health or social work to guide our Campus Care | Te Papa Manaaki Team. Campus Care coordinates personal and wellbeing support for our students and directs them to appropriate resources and further assistance.
As the Campus Care Team Leader, you'll play a crucial role in managing and inspiring a team of Case Managers. You'll provide leadership by setting clear direction and expectations, managing workload distribution, and coordinating emergency responses. The team leader will maintain a caseload and ensure relevant continuing professional development for their team.
In addition to overseeing the team's operations, you'll serve as a key liaison between the Campus Care team and other university and community-based stakeholders. Your leadership will ensure that the team continues to be the front door to student needs, offering timely interventions and effectively triaging students to the right support services.
This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), permanent opportunity.
The remuneration is $94,900 - $117,200 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

Te Papa Manaaki | Campus Care coordinates personal and wellbeing support for students. It provides early and holistic support with the aim of preventing further escalation, reducing the burden on the student of accessing help, minimising duplication and gaps in service provision across support providers, and minimising the burden on academic and other non-support staff of assessment and referral requirements.
