QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced knowledge in organic chemical synthesis with a PhD in
chemistry, medicinal chemistry or related
o Postdoc and experience abroad, as w ell as in crop protection or
pharmaceutical research are all an advantage but not essential
o good English language skills
o creativity, curiosity and enthusiasm to drive innovations
o interpersonal and communication skills to develop innovative
solutions in a diverse team
RESPONSIBILITIES
In our team Fungicide Chemistry you will work on the
identification and development of highly effective, innovative chemical
crop protection active ingredients designed to meet global market
needs. From day one, you will join a diverse, international and
multi-disciplinary team. You will be trained on the job and be
supported by experts as well as other newer team members to
address challenging and exciting scientific targets.
o You will lead an organic synthesis laboratory team.
o Your responsibilities will also include the design of active
ingredients, their synthesis with a laboratory team, the analysis of
their biological activity and the use of structure-activity relationships to
initiate new designs.
o You will drive multiparameter optimizations, applying
medicinal chemistry concepts at the interface of fungi and plants.
o With your work you will navigate at the frontiers of chemistry,
modeling, biology, agronomy, regulatory and intellectual property.
o You and your team will work with modern technologies and stay
abreast of new developments (organic synthesis, drug discovery,
competitor activities). You will network with academia, scientific
partners and technology providers”About the company
