      Team Leader - Home Claims

      In this role you will be responsible for the day to day oversight and management of the operations of a team of Claims professionals.

      You will strive to ensure colleagues are supported and enabled to perform their roles to the performance standards agreed. To do this, you will be responsible for providing coaching and development to their colleagues as well as ensuring colleagues focus on customer outcomes.

      What are my accountabilities?

      • Providing leadership, direction and communication to team members

      • Empowering and developing self-sufficiency and accountability within the team

      • Regular monitoring and reporting on daily workflow, SLAs and KPIs including the completion of required claim activity, stakeholder engagement, timely claim closure rates

      • Recruitment and training of new staff and identifying/implementing individual professional development opportunities

      • Decision making, problem solving and conflict resolution with parties and acting as a point of escalation for any disputes/complaints in-line with Sedgwick’s complaints handling framework

      About you :

      • Previous experience in managing a vast range of complex property claims

      • Previous experience managing people in a leadership role

      • Exposure to dealing with vulnerable customers

      • Knowledge and understanding of the principle and procedures for

      • processing insurance claims

      • A comprehensive understanding of the General Insurance Code of Practice

      • Proven ability to manage client and internal stakeholder relationships
