      Logistics at full potential

      As Team Leader, you are responsible for the processes and the team within your own department. You are responsible for managing and motivating your team whilst striving for process improvements and you have an affinity with Lean (5S).

      In a team of several Teamleaders, you work closely together with various departments within the organization. You are also responsible for the appraisal and coaching of your employees and you guide them through change processes. You are responsible for quality and productivity numbers and you coordinate operational activities within your department. You are also involved in setting up a sharp staffing and you ensure proper time registration.

      As a Teamleader you are responsible for a team - depending on the sub-process - of approximately 20-30 logistics employees. You work in a day shift and 2 shifts due to seasonal peaks and report to the Business Support Manager

      What you do on a typical day:

      • Instruct, inform and support the employees of the quality department, so that the work is carried out safely, efficiently and correctly, in accordance with the applicable standards (including KPI’s and productivities)
      • Ensure that the work instructions are up-to-date and available in the warehouse
      • Continually strive to improve the processes of your department
      • Supports the Business Support Manager in dealing with the Client for all the Quality matters
      • Supervises inspections, reports and the documentation issued by “customer” and collect and file the required Quality Records

      What do you need to succeed at GXO

      • You have at least MBO (post-secondary college) level of work and thinking, where necessary additional relevant diplomas and certificates for the department
      • You have previous experience in a managerial or leading position, within a logistics environment ideally
      • You have good communication skills at multiple levels in English (Dutch language is nice to have)
      • You have the ability to analyse quality and/or performance
      • You have an enthusiastic and flexible attitude, and are a self-starter
      • You have the ability to monitor your own performance and that of your colleagues
      • You have good knowledge of office software and WMS functionality
      • An affinity for, and preferably knowledge of clothing quality control
