- To act as senior office administrator, responsible for providing a wide range of administrative support to the Deputy and Operational Manager for Medical Education that include report writing and spreadsheets
- Project management development of courses; organising, reviewing and monitoring faculty and feedback in line with course requirements
- To take responsibility for managing and running the department during the absence of the Deputy and Operational Manager for Medical Education. This will include a wide range of management tasks; including the ability to take the necessary steps to resolve issues
- To be fully conversant with the work and tasks of the team, setting up/reviewing procedures/protocols and policies. To support staff in busy periods when required.
- To be a flexible team member for when courses run outside normal working hours
- To carry out regular one-to-one meetings with designated team members.

Job summary
PGME is the Norfolk & Norwich Post Graduate Medical Education Department. The postgraduate team consists of Band 4 Medical Education Administrators who co-ordinate and provide medical education training and teaching programmes for Junior Doctors and Consultants.
We work in the Bob Champion Research and Education Building which boasts its own caf area.
Full time: 37.5 hours per week, part time hours will also be considered.

Main duties of the job
As post holder you will:
As the ideal candidate for this role, you would be someone who has an understanding of medical teaching programmes for training doctors. You would also have knowledge and skills on Event Management with a strong organisational background.
The role would include undertaking Event Management of specified events and to manage a Consultant Faculty to ensure the delivery of education and teaching meets the standards required.
You would be responsible for line management of the PGME Admin Team including 1:2:1's, appraisals and other HR related issues.
Project management or event management skills would be advantage but are not essential as training will be provided.
