What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Direct the daily operations for a team of group sales managers, focusing on sales for full-service hotels
- Collaborate with the Market Sales team and properties to execute effective sales strategies
- Manage sales resources to optimize opportunities based on market conditions and individual property needs
- Analyze market data to assist team members in executing group sales strategies
- Drive customer loyalty through excellent customer service and effective issue resolution during the sales process
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, or related fields; or a 2-year degree with 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience in selling group business, either at a property or in a sales office
- Knowledge of property operations and food and beverage services
- Proven ability to manage sales activities and drive financial results
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building customer relationships
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Hospitality Management
- Supervisory experience in a sales environment
- Familiarity with the group sales process and closing techniques
- Team-based selling experience
- Experience in analyzing customer satisfaction and implementing improvements
