Job Description

- Creates BMS Processes for IMQ, Reviews processes created by IMQ Leads.
- Perform 1st line analysis on parts using part drawings and specs.
- Acts as first level of escalation for IMQ Leads’ with analysis of supplier issues and is responsible for deeper problem solving of non-confirming materials.
- ERA Containment to assure quality parts online (initiate sorts and rework).
- Write work instructions for sorts and rework. Reviews processes created by IMQ Leads.
- Perform QPS on 3rd party sorts and rework.
- Lead working meetings to establish ERA containment.
- Initiate the 8D process towards supplier.
- Sort production material and block any material non-conforming to specification for further analysis/action
- Issue quality rejection reports (QR) to suppliers for material non-conforming to specifications.
- Initiate control and sorting activities on inbound and material in stock at Volvo, including parts in cars before FC that can be affected by the deviation.
- Participate in analysis of suspected material deviations to determine the non-conformity to specifications.
- Agreement with Procurement Plant Team (PPT) to accept/ reject “Liability Not agreed” stated by supplier.
- Escalate serious deviations (S300, A100, frequent B50) to Procurement Plant Team (PPT) for material in stock/ in transit or on car that is non-conforming to specifications.
- Initiate invoice the occurred costs to the concerned supplier.
- Supports IMQ Leads in conjunction with the IMQ Engineer in response to complex problem solving, part specifications, and ERA (Emergency Response Action) containment implementation.
- Act as a coach to IMQ Leads to secure quality in running and series builds.
- Secures that all standards are being followed during the incoming material quality process for finding any non-conforming material.
- Is the support function between the IMQ Leads and IMQ Engineer.
- Lead projects when issues need to be escalated or for further analysis.
- Assure all 4Ms are performed correctly during root cause analysis.
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred – in lieu of degree, a combination of directly related work experience and training will be considered.
- Strong Analytic skills.
- Parts drawing reading and interpretation skills required.
- Working knowledge about basic quality tools, e.g 4M analysis, 5 Why, Pareto etc.
- Knowledge of production and logistics systems (Chimas/Plus)
- Intermediate skills in the use of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams required.
