Our focus is simple but meaningful, from our distribution centers to our offices — every employee of C&S and their family of companies works to help feed local families, neighbors and communities. As an Experienced Selector, you will be hired directly onto Team Selection, which is a small team consisting of 3-4 selectors. You will select full-case product from warehouse pick slots using a pallet jacket and will be responsible for accurate and efficient selection and the loading of the product. This work is in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse where safety is a high priority.

• E arn $16 per hour + per case +$1.50 (cooler/freezer premium) + .75 shift differential (4:00 p.m.-4:00 a.m.)

• FT, 2nd shift, 5 days on/2 days off, 4:00 p.m. until completion.

• L ocation: 3100 Holcombe Blvd. Houston, Texas 77021

You will contribute by:

• Accurately listen to voice commands and select orders to place on a pallet.

• Move pallet on an electric pallet jack until order is complete, wrap the pallet with plastic wrap until secure, and load the pallets into the trailer

• Ensure item pick accuracy and safety of product to prevent damage

• Visually inspect products for damage or improper packaging

• Work at a steady and fast pace, correctly identifying and counting items

• Work in safe and effective manner; keep work area clean and sanitary

• Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.

• Warehouse : Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)

We’re searching for candidates with:

• Specialized Knowledge : Ability to operate pallet jack and other required materials handling equipment (MHE). MHE certified on a pallet jack.Ability to operate pallet jack and other required materials handling equipment (MHE). Ability to operate battery hoist Compliance with all company policies and procedures.

• Physical abilities: : Never balancing, sitting. Occasionally climbing up to 4 ft. (Must have fall protection training and using proper fall protection equipment). Occasionally smelling, crawling, kneeling, and talking. Occasionally, feeling, fingering, gripping and carrying up to 60 Lbs. Frequently lifting up to 60 Lbs. Continuously stooping, pivoting and reaching (level: Waist/overhead, etc.). Continuously standing and walking on surface type (s): Carpet, tile, concrete. continuously handling hearing, seeing and repetitive movement using both hands and feet.

• NA : Must be able to work required overtime in order to complete store orders

We’re searching for candidates with:

• 2-5 : Selector experience. Preferably previous experience on teams in a fast paced, high volume warehouse distribution center.
