Overview
The Video Monitor Tech provides constant surveillance of assigned patients through a camera monitoring system and patient/staff communications. The Video Monitor Tech utilizes the monitoring system to work effectively with the health care team to identify patient risks, prevent possible injury, and assure patient safety.
Qualifications
Required Education: GED or High School Diploma Preferred Education: Nursing Assistant, Clerical Associate, Medical Assistant or other health care ancillary training is highly desirable. Necessary Skills: 1. Ability to recognize and act upon changes in patient condition, activity and emergency situations. 2. Ability to maintain confidentiality and awareness of ethical and legal responsibilities. 3. Ability to understand, use and document basic medical terminology. 4. Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form. 5. Ability to utilize excellent customer service skills with patients, families, and the health care team.
