      Overview

      We are looking for an experienced Technical Administrator to join the Survivable Air Operations Cener (SAOC) Team (AFLCMC/HBJ) at Hanscom AFB. In this role, the Technical Administrator shall provide support and assistance in the management and operations of program related systems, which includes but is not limited to the following:

      LOCATION: Hanscom AFB, MAJOB STATUS: Full time

      Responsibilities

      • Provides system administration of Network, Web, and/or communication systems, including Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) systems, Government owned cloud technologies, and commercial software across multiple security domains (NIPR, SIPR, JWICS).
      • Prepares technical implementation plans that provide integrated solutions including actions, milestones, and timelines and critical paths required for complete solutions. Maintaining elevated privileges within the domains (NIPR, SIPR, JWICS). Elevate privileges perform security-relevant functions that ordinary users are not authorized to perform. Has access to system control, monitoring/security, administration, criminal investigation, or compliance functions to an IS/PIT.
      • Responsible for advising on various aspects of user policy and ensuring compliance with any government policy/regulation. (DoD 8570-01-M; AFMAN 17-1303; DEPaaS Application Administrative Roles and Responsibilities
      • Will conduct day to day system and software administration support activities.
      • Conduct general system management - networked, but on interconnected/networked IS(s)/PIT system(s) where systems are not accessible AF-wide ad impacts can be localized only to networked systems: create /modify e-mail group mailbox; create/delete e-mail account; create/modify user account; download/install standard functional drivers and operating system; install peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.); lock/unlock user account; modify account privilege(s); reset user password; run queries; view account properties; and/or view queries.
      • Monitor Data Federation between the Contractor Integrated Data Environment (C-IDE) and the Government Integrated Data Environment (G-IDE)
      • Monitor CDS from NIPR to SIPR and from SIPR to JWICS

      Qualifications

      • USAF IT infrastructure experience with the DoD Non-secure (NIPRNet) and Secure (SIPRNet) networks.
      • Experience writing and updating technical documentation.
      • Knowledge of DoD Cyber Security (CS), and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
      • Working knowledge of WAN/LAN switching technology.
      • Working knowledge of securing a network (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, ACL’s, scanners).
      • Working knowledge of DoD network identity mechanisms (digital certificates, smart cards, directory services).
      • Working knowledge of standard data networking protocols (TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP).
      • Familiar with Information Technology, and Cyber Security applicable DoD Regulations, Directives, and Air Force Instructions (AFI’s).
      • Required to have Level II IAT Certifications per DoD 8570/8140. (Security +, CCNA)

      EDUCATION:

      • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent. and 5-7 yrs of relevant experience managing hardware/software baselines in the DoD community.

      SECURITY CLEARANCE:

      • Top Secret Clearance and U.S. Citizenship required for all applicants
