Job Description

- Train the end user in the correct handling and usage of Sandvik Rock Tools to ultimately reduce operational costs for the customer.
- Measure Sandvik Rock Tools actual performance and set targeted performance for specific operation,
- Determine a service plan to maximise effectiveness
- Maintain effective relationships with TSSRs and the Account Management team.
- Ensure customers have latest Rock Tools product technology enhancements and are aware of the latest developments to obtain better performance.
- Maintain high levels of service with all customer accounts.
- To take a responsible approach to health, safety and environmental risks in relation to your own job and that of your colleagues and to control the risks or report them to management accordingly.
- Grade 12 / N3 Technical qualification / Equivalent qualification
- Post Matric qualification will be advantageous
- Proven technical experience or a keen willingness to learn the technical techniques under the Sandvik Training Program.
- A well-developed understanding of the mining/construction/quarrying industry.
- Strong EHS focus.
- Understanding of Mine Health and Safety Regulations.
- Knowledge of and experience with any Sandvik product range (would be beneficial)
- Ability to work as part of an integrated, broad team.
- Willingness to travel extensively
- In-depth understanding of customer business processes.
- Ability to establish and maintain customer relations.
- Highly developed time management and organisational skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Computer literacy
- English proficiency
- Must have a valid driver’s licence

The Role
The purpose of this role is to support Rock Tools customers business by promoting products and services, with a view to expand sales and maximise the profitability of the Rock Tools performance contracts.
