- Oversees and coordinates with DTS on participation in new Technical and/or Digital imaging initiatives under the direction of AVP Periop Services & Director of Cardiology Business Analytics.
- Oversees and coordinates with DTS (Cardiology/Radiology PACS) to ensure compliance with image management operations, including legal and routine reports, image/study release, and upload to HMHN repositories to facilitate patient care.
- Coordinates with DTS when troubleshooting day-to-day equipment operations, including image workflow, prior exams, exam manager functions, and other related activities stemming from ancillary Cardiology applications, addressing and managing tickets/requests to facilitate resolution of errors/issues.
- Daily interaction with the physicians providing support in resolving current and recurrent computer problems arising, which may impede workflow, both onsite and remote.
- Works closely with department managers/supervisors and DTS to ensure proper operation of image transfer workflow prior to sending to the PACS system as well as network transmission, and exception handling.
- Investigate, identify, and prepare proposals to solve specific operational problems within all clinical operational areas, working closely with department managers, supervisors, and lead clinical staff and involving the next level of administration and/or DTS as appropriate.
- Works closely with department managers, supervisors, and the Director of Cardiology Business Analytics to develop policies and procedures governing the use of all imaging systems and image workflow and management.
- Review feedback from system users. Compiles and analyzes support data. Recommends procedural and educational changes as appropriate.
- Works closely with the Director of Cardiology Business Analytics to oversee and coordinate strategic planning for medical imaging initiatives.
- Works in cooperation with the Director of Cardiology Business Analytics, identifying present and future needs for equipment installation.
- Oversees/coordinates vendors' activities in all phases of installation and implementation of new systems.
- Prepares reports for administration on all aspects of medical imaging operations as appropriate or directed.
- Support the off-site DCCs to ensure digital infrastructure integrity & functionality of diagnostic equipment; liaise between DTS and vendors to ensure resolution of issues/concerns.
- Supports all relevant department Quality initiatives by providing database reports, building custom database fields, and managing multiple shared drive platforms.
- Interact with software and hardware vendors and all related equipment by placing and tracking tickets on behalf of the Cardiologist, managers, supervisors, and clinical staff and working closely with DTS to resolve time-sensitive issues related to clinical decision-making. Identifies hardware or software problems and takes steps to resolve them quickly by troubleshooting in real-time to ensure a high level of patient care.
- Provides training to users to ensure efficient and effective use of imaging equipment and clinical software.
- Monitor and review all cardiology EPIC logs& workflows, running daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports as needed to ensure all billing and financial communication is accurate and complete.
- Maintains an open line of communication with all relevant supervisors and managers to ensure imaging studies are completed, accurate, and posted to the EMR.
- Provide on-site support pre, intra, and post downtime and resolve issues to ensure recovery and uninterrupted operations.
- Coordinates with DTS during Quality control testing to ensure stability pre, intra, and post downtimes.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
- Associate's degree.
- Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in healthcare.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient/strong computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Familiarity with specific diagnostic imaging operations or hospital-based cardiology workflows.

The Technical Coordinator functions in the capacity of reviewing, maintaining, collating, and analyzing the day-to-day digital activities supporting revenue, regulatory, QI, requirements, and infrastructure for all Cardiology departments. This position is responsible for coordinating with DTS and leading the implementation and reconciliation of day-to-day operations and workflow issues of the cardiologists or relevant physicians, clinical staff, Quality staff, Administrative staff, and Leaders. Additionally, this individual will act as a liaison and supervise any digital initiatives within the department and other departments, striving to maintain a high level of patient care.
