      REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

      The V2X Navy Test Wing Pacific (NTWP) Technical Director reports to the V2X NTWP Site Manager and leads the V2X NTWP Test Support Team.

      THE OPPORTUNITY

      We are seeking a strategically and operationally experienced Technical Director to collaborate with the NTWP Leadership team, and offer counsel and technical guidance to the day-to-day operations of the V2X NTWP CLS team. The Technical Director will also lead the Test Support Team, consisting of the Platform Coordinator Liaisons (one for each test & evaluation squadron). This role will require a seasoned and accomplished technical leader with substantial test and evaluation, and engineering expertise along with a demonstrated record of executing complex technical requirements within the Aerospace and Defense industry.

      LOCATION

      To be principally located at either NAWS China Lake or NAS Point Mugu. Responsibilities are divided roughly 70 / 30 between the two locations.

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Attend technical planning meetings between the Government Maintenance, PLO, and V2X Maintenance Leadership
      • Establish lines of communication between Platform Coordinator Liaisons and Government Counterparts
      • Review Government program schedules, to ensure understating and compliance by the CLS Leadership Team.
      • Engage with customers as V2X T&E SME and POC for all technical challenges and risk mitigation.
      • Establish and chair V2X ntwp Joint Risk Management Board, supported by V2X, Wing, and Squadron level CLS Leadership.
      • Encourage V2X leadership to participate in the monthly Joint Risk Management Board.
      • Engage as a conduit for reaching back to corporate engineering and technical support.
      • Participate as an active member of the NTWP Mission Assurance Tam, providing counsel to V2X ADS and Corporate oversight with program advocacy as a key focus area.
      • Presenting executive-level presentations to V2X leadership and maintaining Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
      • Extend the brand V2X via opportunities and fostering positive corporate/community partnerships and relations.

      EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS

      • A BS degree in an engineering discipline; an advanced degree and US Military Test Pilot School is highly preferred.
      • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance; valid active clearance preferred.

      SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE

        • Direct staff experience with U.S. Navy / Marine Corps or civil service, having held senior technical leadership positions in a Test and Evaluation organization is required
        • 10 years demonstrated experience working in/or in support of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), or various PMA-XXX related communities is highly desired.
        • A strong network of contacts throughout the U.S. Naval Leadership and familiarity with the Test and Evaluation and acquisition organizations of the U.S. Navy is strongly preferred.
        • Demonstrated accomplishment with complex problem-solving, risk analysis, and technical acumen.
