- Basic understanding of Red Hat Linux, Docker and Kubernetes, Containerization and Databases
- Seeking B.S. or M.S degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or similar technical disciplines.
- Familiarity with IBM Z platform
- Completed Mainframe introductory course or IBM Z Xplore learning
- Knowledge of mainframe systems and IBM Z architecture
- Knowledge of mainframe modernization tools and techniques
Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM Technical Enablement Specialist intern will work closely with our SMEs on IBM Z and LinuxONE technologies and projects. Opportunities will be available to assist with development and delivery of hands-on labs and demo assets for new-to-market offerings, obtain hands-on experience with IBM Z systems, participate in product demonstrations and gain firsthand experience with enabling customers’ adoption in new IBM hardware and software to increase their business value and drive IBM revenue.
Introduction
The IBM Z Washington Systems Center teams provide technical assistance to clients and the technical community to help drive and increase IBM Z HW and SW revenue. We have IBM Z hardware and software Subject Matter Experts who provide technical leadership for a wide range of workshops, studies, briefings, tools, and asset creation, highlighting leading edge solutions on IBM Z and LinuxONE.

Supplemental 1 employees may be eligible for up to 8 paid holidays, minimum of 56 hours paid sick time and the IBM Employee Stock Purchase Plan. IBM offers paid family medical leave and disability benefits to eligible employees where required by applicable law. The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year. This position was posted on the date cited in the key job details section and is anticipated to remain posted for 21 days from this date or less if not needed to fill the role.
