      JOB MISSION:

      The Trackster is responsible for being the New Balance Face of Brand within the Greater Toronto Area Community and the local Running retail account base. The Trackster is an integral part of growing brand awareness and stimulating end-consumers to experience the products in their local communities. The role acts as a vibrant Brand Ambassador for New Balance with local run clubs and other athletic-minded individuals and will be tasked with setting up try-on events and community activations.

      Our team member will be able to successfully execute product technical training, educational, promotional, and merchandising tasks for footwear, apparel, and accessories in the full range of channels where NB Running lives. This role is responsible for building strong, collaborative business relationships with retail owners, managers, and retail sales associates to drive sell-through on NB products.

      The Trackster Team is fully equipped to make an exceptional impact through championing the Brand in their local communities, in-person account visits, national event support, athlete interactions, and delivering Community consumer experiences with a focused approach and direction.

      MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

      • Align with NB North American strategy and brand goal directives from Leadership.

      • Act as brand ambassadors connecting with runners and athletic-minded individuals in their local communities to host events and conduct product demos.

      • Develop and maintain productive, effective, and professional relationships with retail store sales staff and management, and community run crew networks.

      • Train Retail Sales Associates on our NB Running product lines in footwear, apparel and accessories.

      • Work with and support NB Retailers within the geo-target area to educate and train staff and partner on community events, across but not limited to sales channels in: Run Specialty, Sporting Goods, Athletic Specialty, and NB Stores.

      • Stay current on industry trends, products, and communications, both internal and external.

      • Bring Fun to the Run; exemplify the unique New Balance intersection of Sport and Culture.

      • Develop community activations to bring in New Consumers to New Balance Running

      • Leverage active social media storytelling in partnership with local Running retailers and community groups.

      • Support the activation execution for National NB Running events and expos.

      REQUIREMENTS:

      • Located in the Greater Toronto Area

      • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent

      • An understanding of principles in Business, Marketing, Kinesiology, Biomechanics are each a plus

      • Highly connected to the Canadian running network through active participation in local run clubs and races

      • Running Retail experience is considered an asset, with an aptitude for product technical details

      • Excellent communication and presentation skills, a vibrant leader

      • An active knowledge to use social media as a medium to drive community voice

      • Frequent travel; many events occur on evenings and weekends

      • Must be able to lift and carry sample bags or promotional event displays weighing up to 50 pounds

      • Valid driver’s licence and an acceptable (as defined by NB auto insurance policy) driving record are required
