      Job Description

      BAE Systems FAST Labs, Autonomy development group is seeking candidates for their 2024 Summer and Fall Computer Science co-ops supporting aspects of the Autonomy and Machine Learning Algorithm development. At BAE Systems, we deliver a full range of products and services for air, land and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions and customer support services. Opportunities exist supporting a variety of efforts in Computer Science/Machine Learning, integration, test and transition on complex systems.

      Roles and Responsibilities may include:

      • Assist in the design and implementation of prototype ML Algorithms for Autonomy
      • Software development in C, C++, Assembly, and/or Python
      • Support researchers and engineers on new and existing programs
      • Other duties and responsibilities as required
      Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

      Required Skills and Education

      • Registered in and pursuing a technical Bachelor's or Master's of Science Degree from an accredited University.

      Preferred Skills and Education

      • Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript and python, interest in Machine Learning algorithm, Software Engineering and understanding embedded systems, and an interest in learning how to secure non-traditional computers and devices
