- 4-8 years of experience in Embedded systems software and 3-6 years of relevant experience in Automotive domain (preferably with infotainment systems)
- Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Electronics & Communication/Electrical Engineering or in a relevant stream.
- You will be responsible for complete product for a specific market
- You will support the product lead in planning and managing the milestones of the product according to car-line rollout plans
- You will interact with market specific test house and plan the quality gates
- You have to coordinate with several suppliers to provide the deliverables according to the milestones set
- You will be responsible for managing and tracking the bugs/tickets and distributing across the suppliers
- You have to manage multiple stakeholders with varied expectations and identify the time to escalate
- You will participate in the test drives to control the quality of the deliverables
- To accomplish your work, you will establish an effective communication with partners, suppliers and within and outside organisation
- You are an expert in Automotive system engineering and software development
- You have very good knowledge of component software development processes
- You have very good Knowledge of Automotive Infotainment Systems
- You have experience in handling & managing several Tier -1/2 suppliers
- You have experience in dealing with requirements from production plant
- You are an expert in at least in one of the following SW components of Infotainment systems– RADIO/NAVIGATION/PHONE/HMI/PLATFORM/MIDDLEWARE
- You have played a role of Function Owner or have experience working in a matrix organization
- You have excellent communication and team working skills
- German language skills are highly desirable
- Excellent communication & stakeholder management skills
- Exposure to multi-cultural environment, working experience in Germany is an added advantage
- Possess a valid driving license for cars
- Use of Tools: MS Office, Project planning tools and Databases
- Development experience in C++ and Linux, Experience in board bring up activities, performance enhancement of the system is desirable

Technical Product Engineer (BTV) – Infotainment Head Unit
Our team at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development, India works on the new intuitive and intelligent infotainment system, MBUX – Mercedes Benz User Experience. We develop API interfaces as an abstraction layer for various MBUX functions and functions and features to support autonomous driving. We do a lot of development activities on advanced engineering topics showcasing the new features and technologies that can be included in our future products. Extending the entertainment to rear passengers, we are involved in software development for rear seat entertainment (RSE) too. We are completely responsible for the infotainment system component as a product and responsible to achieve the quality KPIs of our product in the field. These development activities are ably supported by our testing team which uses the latest technologies and methods for automated testing.
We are now seeking a Technical Lead with a strong system and vehicle electronic systems knowledge to work in the area of Infotainment system (MBUX) for Mercedes Benz cars.
