Under general supervision, assists in providing application expertise and any other special technical data to business development, application engineering, and/or operations to support bit and/or service applications. Serves as job analyst, well support and job designer to Global/Region/NWA/Country customers. Develops and maintains personal relationship with the technical customer and may develop sales leads. Provides technical and operational expertise to customers in a professional manner. Performs assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles as the lead man on drilling services application. Works independently and may provide work direction to others. May serve in the lead field professional role in the delivery of our drilling services, such as coring and hole enlargement activities. This role assists in pre-planning, and post job analysis with the service coordinators and business segment managers. The role performs lead operations on specialized service operations. Participates in developmental programs to accelerate learning and to advance into further specialized services roles. Requires ability to interpret well site data. May act as mentor for junior professionals and peers. Typical requirements include a degree in Engineering relevant or at least 2 years of related bits or services field experience. Certification as an Engineer-in-Training is desirable. Promotes safety awareness and environmental consciousness, and complies with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Ensures compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines. Promotes and takes an active part in the quality improvement process.
